Sweet NES Nostalgia

Kid Icarus on the Virtual Nintendo Entertainment System
Do you have a longing for the sweet 8-bit video games that you grew up with? Tired of playing the 3-D games that just weren't as fun as the games you remembered playing in middle school? Look no further than VNES which uses Java applets to emulate the Nintendo Entertainment System.
They have about 250 games so far and it has games for every taste, including a few dozen Japanese titles, some funky unreleased and prototype games, and even a "Games That Aren't Fun At All" (i.e. the games I could never win) category. It has most of the classics, and more are being added every day. It works great without any noticeable slowdowns or glitches in most games, but beware: vNES can be a bit of a memory hog. Bookmark vNES while you still can, as I doubt Nintendo's intellectual property goons lawyers are going to be as happy about it as I am. I've always wondered why Nintendo hasn't re-released some of the more popular titles. I know I'd by Kid Icarus, the Super Mario titeles and my fave, Mike Tyson's Punch Out.
