Fall Is Here

Rain

I missed you so...

The longest, hottest and driest summer in recent Seattle history is over. I hope. Please. Seriously.

  1. OHHH MANNN!! I was hoping for warm dry weather for when your Dad and I visit – maybe we’ll get lucky and by the time we arrive your weather pattern will have changed yet again!! Looking forward to seeing you guys and meeting the newest members of your family!!
    Love Nance
PS Glad to hear you found Bentley. Our two gave JB a scare last week one night when he arrived home, (I was still at the hospital with Dad) no kitties ANYWHERE, after giving up on calling for them, eventually they just showed up – apparently they have their own little hiding spots!! He too was afraid they had somehow gotten outside.

  2. That is just so wrong. I think the summers here are awesome. It doesn’t get nearly as hot as it does most places in the US. It was a little warmer this year and without AC it was a little unbearable a couple of days. I ended up sleeping downstairs for a few days to escape the heat, but it wasn’t too bad.

  3. Heh, I just can’t take the heat. One of the main reasons I wanted to move to Seattle from Ohio was the temperate climate. My athletic performance just plummets when the temps are north of 80 (I have heart rate graphs and spreadsheets to prove it!), so much so that I pretty much just stay inside during the summer. Having central air is a plus. I’ve been really good about not complaining about the heat this year on my blog :) but I was just so happy to see it raining on Wednesday morning. Sick, I know.

  4. Nance, you might get lucky, historically, the first week of October is pretty hit and miss temperature wise (average of 62.2 in the past 10 years). But fall really is the best season in Seattle and I don’t think you guys have been up here in the fall.

I’ll give you and Dad a call this weekend. Hope all is well with your Dad.

  5. So no chance of you ever moving to Florida! huh?
Good to know that we are the opposite in just about everything. I can not stand the cold, I will take the heat any day over cold rainy days! :>) I do miss the fall though – sunny days in the fall.

  6. You big baby!

  7. SO…… you probably would not like Vegas than. :)

  8. Hell no, Kell, I wouldn’t move to Florida. Though I love the thunderstorms, I’d die in the humid heat and miss my beloved mountains too much. Your post is once again proof positive that mom and dad bought you from the milkman for a tax break ;)

  9. Josh, I could handle Vegas for a few days (isn’t the point to be in the damn casino all day?) but living there would not be possible.

  10. Hey I actually heard some thunder yesterday on my way home :)
