“Hey Ya?

Maybe it's just late or maybe it's because I'm in a weird mood but I found this remake of Outkast's "Hey Ya", on Youtube and LOVE IT. Mat Weddle from the band Obadiah Parker playing in Tempe, Arizona. Enjoy.

The Oil Crisis? It’s Just Begun…

Check out this story in the Seattle Times.  It's not the typical "why your gas costs so much," but rather a very scary editorial on oil consumption in the U.S.  One of the best articles I've read on the web in a while.

Lightning Strikes Twice

Pneumonia again.  Left lobe and though in not terrible pain, it's extremely difficult to breathe.  I'll be incommunicado for a while and will post updates when I am able.

Thanks,
Michael

That Ronald Reagan Film

"I haven't felt this awful since we saw that Ronald Reagan film."

The first person to reply to this entry with the name of the movie with that quote gets a special prize.
104.8

So my body temp at this point is 104.8. But it feels much higher. I cannot, in all my life remember when I was as miserable as I am now. Ok, maybe the winter of 1987 when the chicken pox invaded my crotch. I'm only doing this to take my mind off the discomfort. Before anybody freaks out, I'm not in any danger until my body temp hits 106+. I can't go to the doctor because I don't have any health insurance. Though I have a full time job with full health insurance, my lame company claimed that my bronchial pneumonia that I had in April of 2005 was a "pre-existing condition" which of course it wasn't and my doc backed me up. The company had already paid the doctors before the final decision so until I cough up $13,600, I don't have any benefits. Lame. They couldn't do anything for me now anyway.

The thing with me is that though I rarely get sick, when I do, it's usually devastating. The fact that I've already missed two days, obviously won't be going in tomorrow and haven't been terminated is laughable (I missed two full weeks back in 2005 due to the pneumonia and my position isn't the type where that kinda crap is tolerated). Ok, back into the bathtub to fend off the chills.
