I Hate the 4th
Sorry folks but fireworks are just lame and aren't worth the stress they put animals through. All of my countrified neighbors think the booms and sparks are just the greatest thing. I however, will be the one picking up the remnants in my yard.

I agree they do have an adverse effect on the poor little animals (both domesticated and wild too I’m sure). Roxy was not real happy about our neighbors ‘display’ last night, even tho the windows were shut etc., it was still loud enough to unsettle her. I remember how terrified Cocoa always was on the 4th., poor little babe, I dreaded it for her sake!!

You should have seen my Mom growing up! She’d hole herself up in the house with the dog for the evening. My kitties looked up at the booms last night, but didn’t seem particularly perturbed.
