I converted my Tivo file into the .avi format and you can download the entire Almost Live! 2005 Reunion Special HERE (right click and choose "save as". You can play it in Windows Media Player. 351 Megabytes.

If you have trouble playing the file in Windows Media Player 10, download this small player that comes bundled with the .avi codec.

Codec info:

Enjoy.

  1. Michael, I downloaded the video but only audio will come out. I tried with quicktime 7 and windowsmedia player 10 but didn’t work.

    Thanks

  2. Alfred, did you download the entire video before watching it? I tested it on 3 different computers and had no problems. I used bot Windows Media Player 10, Winamp 5.1. It’s an .avi file to ensure the highest compatibility. Please try downloading the entire file again and let me know if you’re still having problems.

    Thanks,
    Michael

  3. Alfred, before you download it again, try downloading this small video player from me and playing it there. You can get it at : http://www.raincitystory.com/apps/bsplayer.exe and read the player here: http://www.bsplayer.org/index.php?p=download

I think you’re just missing the .avi codec and this player comes bundled with that. Please let me know either way.

    Thanks,
    Michael

  4. Yes, I downloaded the whole video becuase I know streaming wouldn’t work. The weird thing is that I was able to watch .avi movies in WMP 10 before.

I got the small video player and it worked just fine. Thanks!! It was funny too bad they almost live is not in the air anymore. Quick Note, Last year we got Pat cashman to do a bit in video for our CEO. I edited the video put it in a DVD and we played at the employee’s night appreciation. He is very professional.

  5. Glad it worked out Alfred. Pat does seem like a pretty cool guy. I see him all the time in Belltown now that he’s doing weather on Komo 1000 radio.

  6. Michael…do you have an e-mail address. I have a scan of the ticket and a scan of a cast photograph signed by everybody if you want for fun. If not, no worries. That’s cool you converted the whole show everybody.

    David

  7. Hi David,

I’d love to see the ticket and cast photograph. Please e-mail it to me at mikebuckingham@gmail.com. I’m SO jealous that you got to attend in person. Thanks!!

  8. You don’t know me from a hole in the wall, as I just pulled your website out of a Google search hat.

However, we do have something in common: love for an old show, called “Almost Live!”. I understand that King5 still shows episodes after SNL each week. Man, I wish I lived close enough to see that (or even better – to DVR that), but alas, I call Florida “home” these days.

I nabbed the 2005 Reunion special from your website. Thanks so much!

I noticed in the comments on this page (although over a year old) mentioned that you were trying to digitize the other episodes you had on tape in order to share. Did this ever come to fruition? If so, is there any chance I could talk you out of a link to those downloads?

I have scoured BitTorrent, LimeWire and anything else I could think of to find episodes to watch – I even contacted the King5 station manager – but there is nothing out in the wild, nor plans to, according to the station.

Let me know one way or the other. Thanks!
