Rain City Story

We took Bentley to the vet tonight because of his panting. He really pants like a dog after he exercises and gets excited. Dr. Friemann thought that Bentley might have a heart problem so he told us to bring him in. We had to take Gracie with us because she doesn't like to be away from her brother and gets stressed out when things change. Of course Benltley didn't want to chase the red dot (a laser pen) or run around. After a few minutes of listening to Bentley breathe, Dr. Friemann thinks that Bentley may have Asthma. So he's getting X-rays tomorrow. Won't be cheap I'm sure.

I had a decent ride inside today on the trainer. It had been over a week since I rode that long inside. During the first 20 minutes, all I wanted to do was get off the bike but after that I felt great. I think my body likes it best when I'm in the 158-161 bpm range. I can push 26-27 mph for about 90 minutes in this heart rate zone. I keep a pretty good training log and this zone seems to be a recurring entry.

I'm glad the weekend is here but I'm getting desperate with the Fluxcapacitor.org website. I HAVE to finish it by Monday morning. No exceptions.

I've been thinking about the recent terror warning from the Department of Homeland Security. I think it was drummed up to get more domestic support for the war in Iraq. Think about it, we have been almost 18 months removed from 9/11 and terrorism has faded in most people's minds. Bush needs more support for his personal vandetta campaign so he tells Tom Ridge to raise the threat level and issue specific guidelines (duct tape and plastic window coverings) so that it seems more real. They expected people to run into the streets and demand we invade IRAQ now? The adminsitration is losing more and more credibility every day.
